Falcon Errors Costly in Loss to Warren Central

Fort Campbell was not able to overcome nine errors and 12 walks in a 24-10 loss to Warren Central Thursday on post. Warren Central (3-0) scored seven times in the second inning and scored 16 runs over the final three innings.

Fort Campbell was able to stay close early thanks to a five-run second inning. Jahcore Brown had an RBI single followed by bases loaded walks to Ryan Sawyer, Greysen Meyer, Travis Doyle, and Peyton Loveall.

For the game, Tyler MacKay had two hits, while Sawyer had a hit and three RBIs. Matthew Middleton had the Falcons’ lone extra base hit in the game (a double) and drove in a run.

Sawyer proved to be the most effective Falcon pitcher, striking out four in two-plus innings. He allowed two hits and two earned runs.

Fort Campbell (0-2) will play at Kenwood Saturday.
