Arrowcats Post Top-Six Finishes at Region; Smith Qualifies for State Tourney

Trigg County’s boys’ archery team finished fourth Saturday at the KHSAA Region 1 Archery Tournament in Henderson, while Audrey Smith qualified for the girls’ state tournament next month.

Smith finished second with a score of 291. Henderson County’s Lillian Buchanan won the girls’ region title with a score of 297. Smith qualifies for the KHSAA State Tournament that will be held in Bowling Green next month.

The boys’ team finished fourth at the region tournament, while the girls’ were sixth. The top two teams at region advance to the state tournament.

Garett Knight – 22nd (282)
Chase Oglesby – 40th (279)
Jevan Hamby – 41st (279)
Cole Joyce – 46th (278)
Christopher Mudd – 64th (270)

As a team, Trigg County finished fourth at the region tournament with a score of 1,958. Henderson County won the event with 2,007 points followed by Hopkins County Central.

As a team, Trigg County finished in sixth place with 1,920 points. Henderson County won the region title with 2,010 points, while Murray was second.
