Easton McGee made his Bowling Green debut Thursday in the season-opener for the Hot Rods at Dayton. The former Hopkinsville Mr. Baseball was impressive, allowing one hit and no runs in two innings of work in relief. He struck out three and walked none.

Bowling Green won the game 3-2 as Easton was credited with a hold.

The Hot Rods are the Class A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. McGee was a fourth round pick of the Rays in 2016. He played three seasons of low-level half-season baseball for the Rays before his promotion to Bowling Green this spring.

Bowling Green plays one more game in Dayton Friday before returning to Bowling Green Saturday for their home opener.
