Caldwell County Girls Take 8 of 9 Matches from Madisonville

Caldwell County’s girls are 8-1 in team matches this season after taking eight of nine matches against Madisonville-North Hopkins on Tuesday at the CCHS tennis courts in Princeton. Meanwhile, Madisonville claimed the boys match 6-3, dropping the Tigers to 5-3 on the season.

Girls Singles

Belle Englebright (CC) defeated Kendall Warren 6-0, 6-0;
Maddie Morgan (CC) def. Dani Cruz 8-1;
Chasie Phelps (CC) def. Riley Marsh 8-1;
Shae Sharp (CC) def. Lauren Williams 8-4;
Kaylee McEnaney (CC) def. Bella Tapp 8-0;
Josie Shaffer (CC) was defeated by Megan Oakley 8-2.

Girls Doubles

Morgan/Phelps (CC) def. Cruz/Marsh 6-1, 6-1;
Englebright/McEnaney (CC) def. Warren/Williams 8-0;
Sharp/Shaffer (CC) def. Tapp/Oakley 8-4.

Boys Singles

Shelton Cansler (CC) was defeated by Kyle Hart 6-2, 6-0;
Jordan Hammett (CC) was defeated by Tanner Ray 8-1;
Brycen Banister (CC) was defeated by Seth Daniel 8-0;
Ryan Hammett (CC) def. Nathaniel Crick 8-6;
Michael Henry (CC) was defeated by Tony Popescu 9-7;
Billy Wallace (CC) def. Eli Polley 8-6.

Boys Doubles

Cansler/J. Hammett (CC) were defeated by Ray/Daniel 4-6, 6-0, 10-4;
Banister/Henry (CC) def. Popescu/Polley 8-4;
R. Hammett/Wallace (CC) were defeated by Hart/Crick 8-1.
Caldwell’s tennis teams are next scheduled to host Fort Campbell on Monday.
