Lady Blazers “Walk” Their Way Past Fort Campbell

The UHA Lady Blazers put an end to their eight game losing streak Monday afternoon. Taking advantage of Fort Campbell pitching struggles, the Lady Blazers rolled to a 16-1, three inning, 8th District win on their home field.

While the Lady Blazers scored 16 runs, they did so with the benefit of only 4 hits. Fort Campbell pitching gave up 19 walks and hit three batters in the three innings of play.

UHA scored 11 runs in the bottom of the 2nd and then finished the game off with five runs in the bottom of the third.

For the Lady Blazers, Regan Pollard went 2-3, with two RBIs, and two runs scored. Mia Litchfield was 1-1, with three runs scored in the game.

The Lady Falcons’ Juli Curney was 1-1, with an RBI.

Mallory Ladd went all three innings to pick up the win for UHA. She gave up one run, on two hits, striking out four, while walking two.

The Lady Blazers will return to action Thursday evening when they host the Todd Central Lady Rebels.
