Hoptown Pitching Strong Again in Tiger Win at Northeast

Hopkinsville got a strong pitching performance for the second straight game as the Tigers traveled to Clarksville and came home with a 6-2 win over Northeast.

Robert Justus came within an out of a complete game. He struck out 12 and walked two, allowing one earned run and scattering seven hits. Jacob Dilday got the final out for the save.

After Hoptown got on the board on a passed ball in the first inning, Michael Graham added two more in the third with a two-run single to right.

With the bases loaded in the fifth inning and Hopkinsville clinging to a 3-2 lead, Blake Balthrop walked, and Blake Sowell followed with an RBI single.

Ryan Myers added an insurance run with an RBI single in the seventh inning. Myers reached base five times with two hits and three walks. Caleb Bapp also finished with two hits.

Hopkinsville (12-6) will play at Fort Campbell Saturday at noon.
