Lady Wildcats Claim 16-1 Win Over University Heights

Trigg County moved two games above .500 for the first time since the first week of the season with a 16-1 three-inning win over University Heights Academy Thursday in Cadiz.

The Lady Wildcats rapped out 15 hits in the game, highlighted by a 10-run second inning.

Logan Darnall, making her first start of the year in the circle, allowed only a Rachael Snyder triple in the second inning. Snyder scored on a wild pitch. Darnall struck out six in three innings of work. She also had three hits and two RBIs at the plate.

Phelan Dossett also had a pair of hits for Trigg County, who had 12 players get at least one hit. Hannah Colbert, Rylee Hendricks, and Julia Rhone each had doubles, and Jesse Siegmund had an RBI single.

Trigg County has won three straight games over UHA for the first time since 2005. The Lady Wildcats move to 14-12 on the season and will host McCracken County Friday.

UHA (3-10) is scheduled to host Livingston Central Friday.
