The Hopkinsville Tigers used a solid pitching performance from Preston Chaudoin Tuesday evening to win for the sixth time in their last seven games. Chaudoin gave up just one run in four innings of work, as the Tigers cruised past Ohio County 7-1 on the road.

In addition to Chaudoin’s great starting effort, Tim Cansler and Layne Jorgensen combined to pitch a hitless final three innings to secure the Hopkinsville win.

Hopkinsville broke a 1-1 tie with two runs in the top of the 4th inning to go up 3-1. The Tigers then closed the deal with four more runs in the top of the seventh.

John Duvall came up big for Hopkinsville, going 2-3, with a home run, and 3 RBIs. Duvall’s homer was a three run shot in the top of the 7th inning. Caleb Bapp ended up 2-4, with two run scored.

The Tigers are set to return to action Thursday, when they travel to Caldwell County.
