Lady Rebels Drop 13th District Tilt to Russellville 10-1

Russellville eighth grader Amiyah Collier struck out eight of the 11 batters she faced to help the Lady Panthers beat Todd County Central 10-1 in 13th District action in Elkton Tuesday.

Collier allowed one hit and a walk in picking up the win. Russellville backed Collier’s pitching with five runs in the first inning and two more in the second inning.

Todd County scored their lone run in the fifth inning when Jordan Weathers doubled to left field and came around to score on a double by Paige Rager.

Abby McPhearson had two hits for the Lady Rebels, and Sam Case added a double.

Chole Whitescarver and Brooklyn Ray each had two hits for Russellville (16-6), and Jaylah Kees knocked in three runs.

Todd County Central falls to 6-13 on the season, with Tuesday’s loss relegating them to No. 4 seed in the 13th District Tournament. The Lady Rebels will play at Bowling Green Friday.
