Despite missing the fall season with a hand injury, Kentucky freshman Cullan Brown bounced back to earn All-SEC Freshman Team honors.

In the spring, Brown appeared in all eight events and owned a 72.42 stroke average during his freshman campaign while earning four top-20 finishes.

The Eddyville native boasted a team-best round of 64 during the opening round of the Mason Rudolph. The score matched a Craig-era program record for any player. That spearheaded a career-low finish of a tie for fifth and matched All SEC golfer and teammate Lukas Euler’s team-low 54-hole total of 206.

Brown garnered a top-10 finish at the SEC Championship when he matched Euler with a tie for ninth. He had rounds of 67-69-72 during stroke play and then won his first match play pairing to help Kentucky down then No. 22 Tennessee.

He also had top-20 finishes at the Schenkel Invitational and at Shoal Creek. During his freshman season, Brown registered 10 par or better rounds, one top-five finish, two top-10 finishes and in half of his starts he was a top-20 finisher.
