Lady Warriors Forge Split with Highlands Latin

Heritage Christian Academy split a Saturday doubleheader with Highlands Latin, winning the second game 15-13.

Bella Miller tripled as part of a two-hit game and drove in a pair of runs for the Lady Warriors. Kinley Deason also had two hits and an RBI, and Chloe Ginn, Harley Gibson, Carol Mitchell, and Liberty Hartsell each drove in run.

Heritage trailed 10-3 after three innings but rallied to score seven times in the fourth inning and two more in the fifth inning.

Mitchell picked up the win in the circle by striking out seven batters and allowing just three earned runs.

In the opener, Highlands scored in every inning to capture a 13-3 win over HCA.

Deason, Ginn, Jaclyn Lowry, Kylee Spurr, and Kennedy Hughes each had hits for the Lady Warriors.
