Football players from Christian County High School and Hopkinsville High School were the recipients of the annual Claiborne Awards, presented Tuesday at the meeting of the Hopkinsville Rotary Club. Hopkinsville senior Ellis Dunn, along with Christian County senior Antonio Abren were selected as this year’s honorees.
The presentation to Dunn, who is headed to Georgetown College, was made by Hopkinsville coach Craig Clayton.
The presentation to Abren, who is headed for Murray State, was made by Christian County coach Steve Lovelace.
The awards are named after late UK football coach, and Hopkinsville native Jerry Claiborne.
