Caldwell County grad Shane Burns stopped by practice on Friday at the VFW Ballpark in Princeton as the Tigers prepared for Monday’s 2nd Region tournament opener against Union County.
Burns finished his freshman season at Murray State University last week in the OVC Tournament in Marion, Ill. The left-hander went 3-3 with a 3.84 earned run average this past season at MSU.
Burns told Your Sports Edge that he will give his arm a little time off before working to get ready for his sophomore season with the Racers.
