Lyon County High School’s Travis Yancy will play in the 2019 Kentucky All-Star Sophomore Baseball Game and Showcase event.
The sophomore and junior all-stars will perform Tuesday, June 18, at Pleasure Ridge Park High School in Louisville.
Yancy will play for the West All-Stars when they take on their East counterparts in Louisville.
Yancy gives the 2nd Region at least two players in the all-star competition, joining Caldwell County’s Tate VanHooser.
Yancy hit .322 this past season for Lyon County, which set a school record for wins while going 24-11 and winning the 5th District championship. Yancy had a pair of homers and drove in 24 runs.
On the mound, Yancy was 4-0 with a save and a 2.23 earned run average.
