Bethany Stallons is making the trip out west with her family to compete on the rodeo circuit for the 11th and final time as a high school competitor.

The 2018 Trigg County graduate will be competing in the International Finals Youth Rodeo in Shawnee, Oklahoma Sunday through Friday. The annual event is considered the largest youth rodeo in the world.

She will then have to hit the road and make the 1,030-mile trip to Rock Springs, Wyoming for the National High School Finals Rodeo July 14-20.

Stallons completes through the Tennessee High School Rodeo Association where she is the two-time state champion in breakaway roping and finished second in 2018 in team roping. She will be competing in those events in both Oklahoma and Wyoming in the next two weeks.

Stallons has signed to continue her rodeo career at Murray State University. While she will continue to travel the nation to compete, this year marks the final time she and her family, which includes two older siblings that have competed on the rodeo circuit, will make the annual trip out west.
