Emma Talley fired a 7-under-par 65 in the final round of the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic on Sunday. That was good enough to earn her a 35th place showing in the 72-hole tournament in Oneida, Wis.

Talley earned $12,023 for her week’s work in Wisconsin. She is 94th on the money list with $82,142 in winnings in 16 events this season. However, Talley has topped half a million dollars in career earnings. In just her second year on the LPGA Tour, Talley has made $503,429.

Talley, who won an individual national championship at Alabama and was a three-time Kentucky state high school champion at Caldwell County, was blistering early in the round. She birdied her first two holes, then had four straight birdies on No. 6 through No. 9. She tallied a 6-under 30 on the front nine.

Talley was steady on the back nine with eight pars and a birdie on No. 12.

That put Talley at 15-under for the tournament. However, there were lots of low scores at Thornberry Creek, with 20-under needed just to break into the Top 20.

Shanshan Feng won the event by shooting 29 under par. She made a short putt for birdie on the 18th hole on Sunday to secure the win. Ariya Jutanugarn was second at 28 under. Two players were 25-under.

For the four-day event, Talley carded rounds of 69, 67, 72 and 65. That tied her with four other golfers in 35th place at 15-under.

Next up on the LPGA Tour is the Marathon Classic in Sylvania, Ohio. First round action begins on Thursday.
