Easton McGee got some early offensive support and let his right arm do the rest in Bowling Green’s 8-2 win over Wisconsin Sunday at Bowling Green Ballpark.

McGee scattered nine hits over six innings but only allowed two earned runs. He struck out four and walked two in lowering his season ERA to 3.39.

The Hopkinsville High alum got help from the Hot Rod offense, who scored three times in the first inning and added four more in the third inning.

McGee went six innings for the fourth straight start and has won three of those to run his season record to 7-2.

Bowling Green improved their second half record to 16-7 and stayed two games ahead of Lake County in first place in the Midwest League Eastern Division.
