Christian County graduate Emmy Blane will be one of 40 players from across the nation to play in the Fourth Annual Premier Girls Fastpitch High School All-American Game Saturday.

The game will be played in Irvine, California at 6:30 Saturday evening and will be televised live on ESPNU.

Blane is the only player from Kentucky that will play in the all-star game and one of two that is headed to the University of Kentucky. One of her teammates is Missouri’s Gabi Deters, who has also signed with Kentucky.

Blane will play on the East team, coached by UCLA All-American Natasha Watley and Olympic gold medalist Crystal Bustos.

The West team, made up primarily of players from California, is coached by All-American Jennie Finch.

Blane is already in California. She along with Christian County teammate Pickle Winkler and Caldwell County graduates Katie Franklin and Mashea Glover represented the Louisville Sluggers in the PGF National Championship in Huntington Beach. The Sluggers finished 13th out of 76 teams.
