Trigg’s Jordan Named Preseason District Player of the Year

Trigg County quarterback Cam Jordan has been named the Class 3A, District 1 preseason player of the year by the Cats Pause Magazine in their annual football preview.

The senior enters his third year as the starter at quarterback for a Trigg County team the magazine picked to finish third in Class 3A, District 1. Jordan committed the U.S. Naval Academy earlier in the summer after throwing for 1,508 yards and rushing for 933 yards. He accounted for 25 touchdowns as a junior.

Other preseason district players of the year as named by Cats Pause Magazine were McCracken County quarterback Elijah Wheat (6A, District 1); Owensboro linebacker Austin Gough (5A, District 1); Bowling Green running back Vito Tisdale (5A, District 2); Madisonville running back Jeriah Hightower (4A, District 1); Mayfield quarterback Jayden Stinson (2A, District 1); Owensboro Catholic quarterback Drew Hartz (2A, District 2); and Fulton County running back Caleb Kimble (1A, District 1).
