Lyon County Post 68 fell in action at the American Legion Great Lakes Regional Tournament on Thursday, suffering a 7-6 setback to Danville, Ill. Post 210.
Gabe Board was 2-for-3 with a double for the Post 68 Aces while Drew Cooper 2-for-4.
Down 5-1 early, Lyon County rallied to tie the game twice late at 5-5 and 6-6 before Danville won the contest with a run in the bottom of the seventh.
Lyon County is still alive in the regional tourney, but will need a win Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. against Gladwin County, Mich. Post 171.
Action at the Great Lakes Regional continues Saturday with the championship round on Sunday at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Ill.
