Will Bryan and Tanner Thomas each recorded hat tricks and the University Heights Academy defense put forth a stout effort to give Frankie Thomas his first win as Blazer head coach, a 10-0 victory at Mayfield Tuesday.

Thomas assisted on two goals, and Bryan added one. Elvin Wagner scored twice, and Connor Dill assisted on two scores.

The Blazers also got goals from Dylan Edmonson and Preston Thomas, while Noah Shouse and Riley Simmons each notched an assist.

UHA led 6-0 at halftime and played their reserves for most of the second half. The Blazers ended the game with their 10th goal with 3:31 left.

Will Maxwell got the shutout in goal for UHA, making seven saves behind a defense and midfield that controlled possession for most of the game.

UHA (1-0) will travel to Ohio County Thursday.
