Caldwell County football head coach David Barnes died unexpectedly Saturday morning.
A team meeting was held Saturday afternoon at the school’s fieldhouse with numerous former players and community members also turning out.
Following the meeting, four seniors from Barnes’ 2017 team at Caldwell County gathered near midfield at Tiger Stadium.
