Weston Wood shot a 3-over par 75 to win the All-A Classic Region Golf Tournament and lead University Heights Academy to a team title – their first in school history. The win capped off a day that saw UHA qualify both golf teams for the All-A State Tournament for the first time.

Wood edged Crittenden County’s Sammy Greenwell by two shots for the title.  Livingston Central’s Darrit Barnes carded a round of 79 to finish third at Deer Lakes Golf Course in Salem. Both Greenwell and Barnes qualified as individuals for the state tournament.

Jiles Wyatt finished in fifth place for UHA with a score of 87. Jude Doer shot a season best round of 91 with Luke Shouse shooting a 105.

Caldwell County’s Austin Crick shot a 94.

UHA’s team score of 358 was 22 shots better than second place Livingston Central.

The Boys’ All-A State Golf Tournament will be played Saturday, Sept. 7 at Gibson Bay Golf Course in Richmond.
