After jumping out to a 3-1 start this season, the Hopkinsville girls’ soccer team dropped its second-straight as it learns to cope without leading scorer Ana Hernandez.  Hernandez tallied 10 goals in three games before suffering a season-ending injury, with the Lady Tigers finding the back of the net just twice in two games since.  At 3-3 overall, Hoptown will look to move back above .500 when Ohio County (2-1) makes a visit to the Stadium of Champions on Tuesday.

Playing without Abby Moss and Allison Wood, the Lady Tigers found themselves trailing 2-0 at the half.  Keeli Miles scored five minutes into the second half off an assist from Grasen Givens to cut the Murray advantage in half.  However, Murray would strike again a short time later and hold on for the 3-1 win.  Vy Nguyen had 17 saves in goal for the Lady Tigers.

Hopkinsville prevailed in the jv match 2-0.  Morgan Woosley had a goal and an assist, Makayla Marshall added a goal, and goalkeeper Lainey Grace earned the shutout.
