Heritage Christian Academy snapped a two-match losing streak and picked up a four-set 25-9, 25-17, 18-25, 26-24 win at Kenwood Tuesday.

Emma Kirkman had 15 assists and three aces, while Allie Schluckebier added nine kills and three assists. HCA, who improved to 7-4 with the win, also got eight kills from Meredith Crunk, six aces from Lexie Crisp, and 12 assists from freshman Bailey Craft.

“The varsity starters came out ready to play tonight,” said coach Brad Boyd. “I believe they had something to prove to themselves after the losses this weekend. Their fire gave us the ability to play over players in positions where they don’t normally get the opportunity to play. They were having fun tonight.”

HCA, who improved to 5-2 against Tennessee schools, will host another one Thursday when Rossview pays a visit to Warrior Gym.
