The Todd County Central Lady Rebels got a huge night from Lucy Chester Tuesday, as they rolled to a district volleyball win over Russellville. The Lady Rebels took the match 3-1 to improve to 3-7 on the season.
Todd Central opened fast Tuesday evening, taking the opening set 25-16. The Lady Rebels hit a little “bump” in the road in the second set, with Russellville rebounding to win 25-16.
From that point on, the night belong to the Lady Rebels. They closed out the match by winning the next two sets 25-8 and 25-18.
Lucy Chester had a spectacular match for Todd Central, coming up with 22 kills, 6 digs, and 4 service aces. Presley Conquest added 6 kills, 7 digs, and an ace.
Brylee Shemwell had a huge night setting up her teammates, coming up with 23 assists on the night. Ashely DesRochers was sharp at the serve, coming up with six aces.
The Lady Rebels return to action Thursday, when they go on the road to take on McLean County.
