Hopkinsville sophomore Allison Wood finished in the top 20 at the prestigious Coleman Midgett Invitational Saturday hosted by Beech High School in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
Wood finished 16th in a field that included 153 runners in the girls’ varsity race. Her time on the 3.1-mile course was 21:12. Her sister Rebecca Wood finished in 59th place in a time of 24:25.
Eva Blankenberger was 70th in 24:52 and was followed across the finish line by Miyu Takenaka (107th, 26:24); Chloe Palacios (133rd, 31:01); Brooklyn Taylor (147th, 35:34); and Natalie Frost (152nd, 42:53).
Zena Dorris of Sovereign Grace High School won the race with a time of 19:44.
As a team, Hopkinsville finished 11th out of 16 teams.
