Two boys’ soccer teams in need of a win met in Elkton Monday night, with Todd County Central and Lyon County instead forced to settle for a 2-2 draw.  It’s the Rebels’ second tie in a 10-game winless run, while the Lyons second draw of the season is the latest in a 7-game stretch with no victories.

Mikey Everett scored his eighth goal of the season to give the Rebels a lead fifteen minutes in, and they led 1-0 at the half.

Lyon County senior Jeremiah Wilkerson tied the game with thirty minutes to play, but Angel Villanueva had the Rebels back in front a short time later.

Timothy Stewart knotted the match again with ten minutes left with a chip that beat Todd County goalkeeper Jonah Rager, and neither team could find the winner the rest of the way.  The Rebels held the edge in shots on goal 15-7.

Up next for Todd County is a match at 13th-District rival Russellville.  The Panthers earned a 2-0 win when the teams met earlier this season in Elkton.

The Lyons will be back in action on Tuesday as well, with the Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornado making the trip to Eddyville.
