After scoring 27 goals in their first five games of the season, Lyon County has found the scoring tougher of late. The Lady Lyons were held to a single goal in a 4-1 loss to Paducah Tilghman Tuesday in Eddyville.
The Lady Lyons have dropped five straight matches and eight of their last nine. They have scored just 15 goals in their last 11 games.
After Tilghman jumped ahead 1-0 in fifth minute on a Jaelynn Carver goal, Lyon County got the equalizer from Mary Davis just four minutes later. That would be all the scoring the Lady Lyons could muster as Tilghman (9-4) closed out the contest with two goals for their fifth straight win on the season.
Lyon County (6-10) will close out the regular season with three straight road games starting Thursday at St. Mary.
