Lyon County’s road struggles this season continued with a 5-2 loss Thursday in girls’ soccer action at St. Mary. The Lady Lyons have dropped six straight matches overall and fell to 2-4 in road contests.
Rose Smith scored a pair of goals for Lyon County to run her season total to 31. Sydney Hoffman assisted on one of the Smith goals. Abby Smith made 10 saves in goal for the Lady Lyons.
St. Mary (6-9) had won just three games in their first 12 outings but have won three straight over Union County, Mayfield, and the Lady Lyons.
Lyon County (6-11) will look to end their skid Monday when they play at Mayfield, who they beat 7-2 on Aug. 23.
