Playing their fifth match in six days, a weary University Heights Academy boys’ soccer team dropped an 8-0 decision to Owensboro, one of the Third Region’s top teams.
Grayson McFarland had four goals and two assists to lead the Red Devils, who improved to 13-4-2 on the season. Joshua Head added two goals, and Andrew Saltsman chipped in with three assists.
Will Maxwell made 17 saves for the Blazers, who faced 25 shots from Owensboro. UHA got off 15 shots of their own but could not find the net.
UHA (10-5-1) will host Collins Saturday as part of their fall festival on campus.
