Fort Campbell sophomore Aria De Silva came through with a late free kick goal to help the Lady Falcons earn a 3-2 Senior Night win over Webster County on Monday.  Senior Catarina Martineau scored twice to help the Lady Falcons to a third win in four tries, while the Lady Trojans see a four-game win streak snapped.

Martineau scored on a breakaway with 24:30 left in the first half and Fort Campbell led 1-0 at the break.

Less than a minute into the second half Martineau was on target again, doubling the advantage when she scored from close range after Webster’s Kira Cavanaugh saved her first effort.

Mariah Austin got behind the Fort Campbell defense in the 62nd minute and scored to cut the margin in half, before Abbie Michalek pulled the Lady Trojans even with eleven minutes to play.

With only seven mintes left, De Silva stepped up to a free kick just to the left of the Webster County 18-yard box and deposited it in the far side-netting to ensure the Lady Falcons had a happy Senior Night.

Fort Campbell wins its second-straight to improve to 10-6, ensuring the program’s first winning season since a 10-5 mark in 2015.
