Caldwell County’s girls had to go to a shootout to finally dispatch Hopkins County Central in the semifinal round of the 7th District tournament on Monday.
The Lady Tigers won 2-1 on penalty kicks to take the match 2-1 and advance to Tuesday’s 5:30 p.m. district championship game against top-seeded Madisonville-North Hopkins at Butler Stadium in Princeton.
