Caldwell County senior Savanna Tays recently recorded her 2,000th set assist and is closing in on the school record.
Tays, who hit the 2,000 milestone recently at Hopkins County Central, is 36 set assists away from breaking the Lady Tiger career record held by Katie Van Hooser. VanHooser, who knows plays at Bethel (Tenn.) University, had 2,073 set assists at Caldwell County.
Tays and the Lady Tigers play at Madisonville-North Hopkins on Tuesday night. Caldwell then hosts Massac County (Ill.) on Thursday.
