UHA defender Piper Hancock drew a tough assignment in Wednesday night’s 2nd Region semifinal meeting with Madisonville-North Hopkins, trying to slow down region scoring queen Camryn LaGrange.
The Lady Blazers held LaGrange and the Lady Maroons to a single goal, before knocking off the region favorites in a shootout to advance to Thursday’s title match.
Afterward, Hancock talked about the gameplan for dealing with the high-scoring Lady Maroons and looked back at her game-winning pk that sent the Lady Blazers back to the region championship for the second-straight time.
