Caldwell County finished the volleyball regular season on Saturday with a pair of losses to solid squads from Christian Fellowship School and Warren East.
The Lady Tigers, playing without starter Abby Griggs, were competitive in both matches but fell 3-0 to both squads.
Christian Fellowship, a 1st Region school in Briensburg, won the opening match 25-21, 25-23, 25-22.
Warren East, out of Bowling Green in the 4th Region, knocked off Caldwell 25-21, 25-23, 25-22.
CFS improved to 23-8 while Warren East moved to 17-14.
In the match against Christian Fellowship, Olivia Mitchell recorded 17 kills, nine digs and two aces for the Lady Tigers.
Mary Tays had six kills and seven digs.
Savanna Tays tallied 17 set assists, a kill, three digs and two aces while Kendyll Prowell had 12 set assists, three kills and nine digs.
Kynady Thomas had two kills, Savannah Scott had one kill, Adi Sullenger had six digs and Riley Thomas had four digs.
Against Warren East, Mitchell recorded 22 kills, nine digs, two aces and a block while Mary Tays totaled 10 kills and two digs.
Savanna Tays picked up 22 set assists and three digs while Prowell had 16 set assists, three kills and nine digs.
Thomas tallied three kills while Sullenger had six digs.
Caldwell will carry a 20-13 record into postseason play.
The 7th District tournament will be held in Princeton starting Tuesday night at 6 p.m. with a semifinal contest between Madisonville-North Hopkins and Hopkins County Central.
Caldwell, the No. 1 seed in the district, has already earned a berth in the championship match on Thursday at 6 p.m. against Tuesday’s winner.
