With just 18 holes remaining at LPGA Q-Series, Emma Talley appears a safe bet to be headed back to the LPGA Tour for the 2020 season.

Competing in a total of eight rounds over two, four-day segments, the top-45 finishers and ties at LPGA Q-Series presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina receive Category 14 membership on the LPGA Tour Priority List for 2020. Individuals in that range, but outside the top-20 and ties also earn Category C status on the Symetra Tour.

With the seventh round in the books and only 18 holes remaining, a total of 48 individuals sit at 5-over par or better while 21 players are 2-under or better. Furthermore, the unofficial purse of $150,000 is set to be distributed at event’s completion.

Talley carded an even-par 72 in Friday’s round at Pinehurst No. 9. That keeps her at 4-under for the tournament and in a tie for 13th place.

The last group of players making the top-45 and ties heading into the final round Saturday are at 5-over. That would appear to give Talley lots of cushion as she attempts to play on the LPGA Tour for the third-straight season.

Muni He leads the event at 19-under while Hee Young Park is second at 16-under.

Talley finished strong on Friday to get back to even for the round. She birdied three of her final seven holes after recording three bogeys earlier in the day.

Talley is scheduled to tee off at 9:39 a.m. Central time Saturday in the final round.
