VIDEO – Rogers Retires as Heritage Christian Volleyball Coach

For the second time, Eldridge Rogers has retired as volleyball coach at Heritage Christian Academy. The veteran skipper announced his retirement following the Lady Warriors’ loss at the KCAA State Tournament over the weekend.

HCA was 21-15 this season, winning the school’s 16th consecutive region title.

Rogers also coached HCA from 2011-14 before retiring the first time after the 2014 season. He coached the Lady Warriors to a KCAA state title in 2011 and consecutive runner-up finishes in 2012 and 2013.

Rogers was the first athletic director at Christian County High School from 1965-68. He started the girls’ track and cross-country programs at the school, which included a track state championship.

He is also a member of the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame, the Heritage Bank Christian County High School Athletic Hall of Fame, and the Kentucky Academic Association Hall of Fame.
