For one it was a regular season game, for the other it was their first preseason scrimmage. The Todd County Central Lady Rebels held the Heritage Christian Lady Warrior to single digit points in three of the four quarters, as the Lady Rebels picked up a win in their opening exhibition game of the season 47-22 at HCA Friday night.

Heritage scored the opening basket of the game, but the Lady Rebels came storming back to take a 10-2 lead late in the opening quarter. The quarter ended with Todd Central up 12-3.

The Lady Warriors fought to stay in the game in the 2nd quarter. With Abbie Bullock leading the way, HCA was able to stay within shouting distance, as the Lady Rebels went to the break up 24-13.

Todd Central then effectively put the game away in the 3rd quarter. The Lady Rebels limited HCA to three points, while adding another dozen of their own to blow the lead out to 36-16.

Several younger players saw extensive action for the Lady Rebels in the final quarter as they pulled on out to the final 25 point margin.

Todd Central was led by Shelby Johnson with 10 points. Jordan Weathers added 9. Emoni Fort scored all 8 of her points in the 4th quarter. Freshman Lucy Chester had 7 points, six of those coming in the first quarter of play.
