Three Trigg County runners competed in the Foot Locker South Regional Cross Country Championships Saturday at McAlpine Greenway in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Austin Cavanaugh finished 10th in the freshman boys’ race, completing the 3.1-mile course in a time of 16:45. The winner came across the finish line in 16:13. There were 219 runners in the race.
Trigg County’s Riley Thompson ran in the 13-14 race, finishing in 140th place in a time of 20:39 over the 3.1-mile course.
Meanwhile, Trigg’s Riley Brame ran in the 13-14 girls’ race finishing the 3.1-mile course in 93rd place in a time of 22:37.
