Caldwell’s Girls Press Past Crittenden 64-35

Caldwell County’s full-court press paid dividends and the Lady Tigers used a 21-0 run to pick up a 64-35 triumph at Crittenden County on Tuesday.

The game was tight for most of the first half before Caldwell’s defense started to wear on the Lady Rockets.

With Crittenden within 23-18 late in the second quarter, Caldwell scored six straight points to get to halftime with a 29-18 advantage.

The Lady Tigers then scored the first 15 points of the second half to take control of the contest.
Crittenden finished the night with 34 turnovers, with many of those leading to transition buckets for Caldwell.

Bella McConnell had 15 points and seven rebounds to lead the Lady Tigers while Majah Hollowell and Jada Boyd each added 12 points. Jacey Jaggers had nine points and six boards in a balanced Caldwell effort.

Taylor Guess led Crittenden with 15 points.

The Lady Rockets led 11-9 after one quarter before seeing Caldwell go in front in the second period.
Crittenden and Caldwell will hook up again in Princeton on Feb. 11.
