Caldwell’s Girls Rout Todd Central 60-26

Caldwell County’s girls scored the first 10 points of the game and went on to rout Todd County Central 60-26 Tuesday in Princeton.

The visiting Lady Rebels got as close as 12-7 late in the first quarter, but the Lady Tigers countered with a 20-0 run to seize command of the contest.

Jacey Jaggers banked in a 3-pointer to end the first quarter and put Caldwell up 17-7.

By the time the Lady Tiger run was finished, Caldwell held a 32-7 advantage.

The Lady Tigers (3-3) went to halftime with a 32-9 lead, and continued to add to the margin in the second half.

Caldwell was able to work a lot of players into the lineup while going up 51-19 through three quarters.

The Lady Tigers led by as much as 26 points in the fourth period.

Jaggers had 17 points and seven rebounds to lead Caldwell while Bella McConnell scored 14 points and grabbed eight boards.

Emoni Fort led Todd (1-5) with 10 points. Lucy Chester had eight.

About the only negative for Caldwell in the contest was the ejection of point guard Jada Boyd following a brief altercation in the second half.
