Warriors Go 1-1 on Final Day of Knights Christmas Classic

Heritage Christian Academy wrapped up play at the Knights Christmas Classic in Tennessee by getting their second win of the year and just missing their third.

The Warriors edged Covenant Christian 27-26 in a contest played in two halves.  HCA led 13-12 at halftime, and each team scored 14 points in the second half.

David Crunk gave the Warriors a huge lift off the bench with 12 points.  He hit three 3-pointers in the second half where he scored 10 of his 12 points.  Weston Powell added seven points and six rebounds, and Derek Wadlington added four points and nine boards.

In their final game of the event held at Lancaster Christian Academy in Smyrna, Tenn., the Warriors dropped a 56-54 overtime decision to Clarksville Christian.

HCA got a monster game from Derek Wadlington, who scored 18 points and pulled down 14 rebounds.  Elijah Britton also had 18 points and four rebounds.

Free throws were the difference in the game as HCA hit 5-of-11, while Clarksville Christian hit 8-of-16.

Heritage Christian (2-13) returns to action Jan. 4 at Highlands Latin.
