Wildcats Pull Away for 71-42 Win at CCA

One night after suffering a wire-to-wire loss to Hopkins County Central, Trigg County struggled to control the game in the first half against Community Christian but still managed to nab a 71-42 victory.  Trigg moved to 10-0 all-time against the Warriors with the win.

Trigg County led 11-7 at halftime but was outscored by the Warriors 15-14 in the second quarter.  Trigg shot just 26-percent from the field in the half.

Trigg led 30-27 early in the third quarter and then used a 15-2 run to take a 45-29 lead to close out the third quarter.  Five different Wildcats scored during the run as Trigg hit 8-of-18 shots in the frame.

The Wildcats began the fourth quarter with a 16-6 run to put the game away.  Trigg shot better in the second half, hitting 44-percent from the field.

Turnovers were the difference as Trigg scored 29 points off 25 Warrior turnovers.

Jordan Miles led three players in double figures with 20 points. Shaun Terrell added 12 points and six rebounds.  Khyran Vaughn had a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds.  Jakobe Bridges had nine assists and six points.

Community Christian got 12 points from Ty Wilson.

Trigg County evens their record at 9-9 and will host Caldwell County Tuesday.
