1-22-catlett

Playing their first game in over two weeks, Christian County had a tough time shaking off the rust in a 70-28 loss to Bowling Green Tuesday.  The 42-point loss was the largest for Christian County since a 72-22 loss to Henderson County seven years ago.

The Lady Purples jumped out to a 17-4 lead after one quarter and extended it to 46-12 by halftime thanks to a 29-8 run in the second quarter.

Christian County only scored in double figures in the fourth quarter when they put up 10 points.

Junior Treliyah Thomas led Christian County with nine points, and Lydashe Bell added eight points.

The game was the first for Christian County since a 66-42 win over Lyon County on Jan. 6.  The Lady Colonels will host Hopkinsville Friday in what will be just their second home game of the season.
