Warriors Can’t Dig Out of Early Hole in Home Loss

A slow start was too much for Heritage Christian Academy to overcome in a 66-56 loss to Community Christian, Tenn. in a late-scheduled game.

HCA trailed 33-24 at halftime and was behind 56-36 after three quarters.  The Warriors outscored their opponent by 10 points in the fourth quarter but could get no closer.

Weston Powell returned from missing a game due to sickness by scoring 18 points and grabbing 15 rebounds.  Derek Wadlington added nine points, 13 rebounds, and four blocked shots.

Heritage will return to action Saturday when they host Trinity Christian, the No. 4 team in the KCAA.
