You could say tons were lifted in the weight room at Trigg County High School. The powerlifting teams from Trigg County and Christian County got together for a head-to-head competition Thursday evening. A room full of participants from both schools put on a display of strength and determination during the meet.
Christian County won the team competition, defeating Trigg County 5,275 to 4,660. The score is based on the totals of the top 11 participants.
In individual competition, Allion Lacy, of Christian County, took top bench effort with 295 pounds.
Cade Bleidt, of Trigg County, finished with the top clean at 280.
