Mumford Leads Hopkinsville Performances at Indoor Invitational

The Hopkinsville High School track & field team got the season up and rolling over the weekend. The Tigers and Lady Tigers traveled to Nashville to take part in the Music City High School Indoor Invitational, which was hosted by Knoxville Youth Athletics, and took place at Vanderbilt University.

Hopkinsville best performance of the day came from Keane Mumford, who registered a pair of Top 20 finishes in the Boys Shot Put and the Boys Weight Throw.

Hopkinsville had a total of 12 entries at the meet. Some of the best finishes on the day were:

Allison Wood finished 32nd in the Girls 1 Mile Run with a time of 5:52.58

Allison Wood finished 26th in the Girls 2 Mile Run with a time of 12:50.32

Rebecca Wood finished 21st in the Freshmen Girls 1 Mile Run with a time of 6:37.81

Chance Jones finished 22nd in the Freshmen Boys 1 Mile Run with a time of 5:07.34

Jonathan Bridge finished 28th in the Freshman Boys 1 Mile run with a time of 6:36.98

Eva Blankenberger finished 22nd in the Freshmen Girls 1 Mile Run win a time of 7:02.71

Chase Atkins finished 21st in the Boys 1 Mile Run with a time of 4:36.42

Hopkinsville finished 24th in the Boys Distance Medley with a time of 12:28.46

Keane Mumford finished 14th in the Boys Shot Put with a best throw of 44-06.25

Keane Mumford finished 16th in the Boys Weight Throw with a best throw of 48-05.50
