The Fort Campbell Falcons turned the tables on the Russellville Panthers in picking up their 8th win of the season. After losing at home to the Panthers earlier in the season, the Falcons went on the road and picked up a 64-57 win Tuesday night.

Early on, it looked as if the Panthers had the Falcons number again. Fort Campbell had trouble slowing down the Russellville offense as the Panthers ended the opening quarter with a 22-16 lead.

However, the Falcon defense then turned up the heat, and with that changed the entire flow of the game. Fort Campbell limited Russellville to just seven points in the 2nd quarter, as the Falcons came flying back to take a 34-29 lead into the locker room at the break.

Coming out to start the second half, the two teams played pretty much even over the next eight minutes. When the third quarter ended, Fort Campbell still led the Panthers 47-43.

Down the stretch, the Falcons got some key defensive plays and timely free throw shooting to hold the Panthers at bay and pick up the seven point win.

Fort Campbell was led by Cameron Pratt with 24 points. Aaron Hall finished with 17 points, including 9 of 12 at the free throw line. Jeremiah Holley added 15 for the Falcons.

Russellville’s Jaquis Todd topped the Panthers’ score sheet with 17 points. Chaun Cheaney and Josh Allen ended up with 11 points each.

With the win, the Falcons improved to 8-19 on the season.
