Wildcats Snap Skid With Senior Night Win Over Falcons

Trigg County needed some momentum heading into the postseason and hope they got some with a much-needed 71-49 win over Fort Campbell Thursday on senior night at Wildcat Gym.

Trigg raced out to a 15-2 lead as Fort Campbell managed just one field goal in the first six minutes of the game.

Cameron Pratt scored six points for the Falcons as they used a 10-2 run to get back to within 17-12 early in the second quarter.  The Falcons trimmed their deficit to 25-21 with 3:37 left in the half.  Trigg countered with a 12-3 run to end the half.

The Wildcats took control of the game with a 16-3 run to begin the second half.  Trigg hit 12-of-17 shots in the third quarter, while Fort Campbell was 4-of-17.  The Wildcats led by as many as 28 points in the fourth quarter.

Trigg County shot a season-high 58-percent from the field (32/55) and handed out 14 assists in the contest.

Khyran Vaughn led the Wildcats with 18 points and 10 rebounds.  Jordan Miles added 12 points, and Jakobe Bridges scored 11 points.

Cameron Pratt led Fort Campbell with 16 points, and Aaron Hall added 10 points and seven rebounds.  The Falcons (8-20) will host Community Christian Friday.

Trigg County (11-18) snapped a six-game losing streak and will play Crittenden County in the Fifth District Tournament Tuesday at Lyon County.
